Local talent. World cuisines.

You identify a candidate from your local workforce. We help train them to deliver the food and service your restaurant needs through classroom learning, practical industry experience and, where appropriate, training in the country where the cuisine originates.

A practical response to the skills challenge.

Finding people with the right kitchen skills can be difficult. Overseas recruitment can also involve salary requirements, occupation eligibility, sponsor administration and ongoing Home Office reporting duties. Paying a particular salary alone does not make every restaurant role eligible for sponsorship. Our approach starts with people already in your local community who have the right to work in the role. You identify someone with potential and we build a training plan around your restaurant’s needs.

How the programme works

1. You identify the candidate

Select a local candidate or existing team member with motivation to learn. You remain responsible for recruitment, employment terms and right-to-work checks.

2. We plan the learning

We agree the cuisine, skills, training arrangements, timetable and how progress will be reviewed.

3. Classroom learning meets kitchen practice

Combine classroom learning through suitable training institutions with supervised practical industry exposure, covering agreed areas such as food safety, preparation, cooking techniques, ingredients, consistency and service.

4. Learn where the cuisine comes from

Selected programmes may include practical exposure in the cuisine’s country of origin. Availability, host arrangements, travel permissions, insurance and costs are confirmed separately before booking.

5. Bring the learning back to your restaurant

Connect training to your menu and kitchen routines, with agreed practical goals and feedback.

Cuisine has no nationality requirement

A person’s ethnicity, nationality or background does not determine the cuisine they can learn to cook. With committed practice, good teaching and respect for the food’s cultural roots, people from any background can develop the skills to cook cuisines from around the world. We focus on potential, technique and understanding.

A programme built around your needs

Tell us about your restaurant, cuisine, candidate and skills gaps. We provide a written proposal covering scope, training arrangements, fees and any optional travel costs. Qualifications or accreditation are included only where expressly confirmed for the selected course.
